The 2014 Zero New Oak Pinot Noir is just that: a Pinot Noir aged with no new oak. Focusing on our vineyard and the fruit it produces, this blend is full of bright berry fruit, a hint of spice, and a touch of earthiness, but with enough structure to age.
The Zero New Oak is aged only in second-year and -older barrels, and is a blend of all our estate Pinot Noir clones. It was fermented with wild yeast and wild ML, with 50% whole clusters -- the most we've ever used due to the excellent vintage. This wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
