Our first (and maybe ever) late-harvest wine from our estate, Charles Vineyard! Due to the warm vintage, we were able to hang a small block of Semillon until it was perfect for an amazing dessert wine -- rare in our climate.
Modeled off the wines of Sauturnes, this wine was picked at 28 degrees Brix, with 20% botrytis (noble rot). It has just the right amount of sweetness to remain fresh and vibrant on the palate, and explodes with apricot and honey notes. We're finding this the perfect accompaniment to dessert, pâté, or a cheese course.
