The Clone 05 Pinot Noir is produced from several blocks of Pommard clone Pinot Noir, planted in our Charles Vineyard (just behind our Boonville winery). We ripen it just a touch more than the rest of our core line-up, with 40-60% new oak, depending upon the vintage. The Clone 05 always shows gorgeous, red fruit alongside earthy notes.
The 2014 vintage was an excellent one, with a very long, dry growing season. It produced wines with beautiful fruit, acidity, and structure. This wine can be enjoyed now, or cellared for years to come.
