For the first time in 34 years, the sweepstakes white wines at the Mendocino County Wine Competition did not go to Navarro Vineyards or Handley Cellars. Instead, Bonterra and Foursight Wines claimed the top two spots! All the wines we entered placed well, but our 2009 Gewurztraminer got a Gold and sweepstakes runner-up. Foursight's wines were recommended by Wineaux Susan Leonardi in The Davis Enterprise: "Foursight made only 25 cases of this wine [the 2008 Semillon], and it's almost worth the 2 1/2 hour drive just to try it. ... We tried all four of the Pinot Noirs; all were excellent. ... [The 2006 Charles Vineyard Pinot Noir was] ... an exciting example of the Anderson Valley Pinots that, to my mind, just keep getting better and better. ..." (March 18, 2010)
2009

Foursight was featured in Savor Magazine as a winery must-visit in Anderson Valley (August 2009).

The Foursight Guest House was featured in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat as a "Luxury Stays Amid the Vines" (July 12, 2009). "Newly opened in Anderson Valley is a wonderful two-bedroom, one-bath cottage with wood-burning fireplace owned and operated by Foursight Wines. ... Best of all, with the chance for such a bright and early start, and much of the windy roads behind you, the rest of Anderson Valley and the nearby Mendocino coast await."
Pinot File named Foursight the leader among a new breed of Anderson Valley producers: "In the past few years there has been a noticeable influx of young winemaking talent in California's Anderson Valley where the new breed is quickly bringing the sedate and sleepy valley to the forefront of California Pinot Noir ..." Rusty Gaffney also reviewed all three 2007 Pinot Noirs, calling the 2007 All-In Pinot Noir a wine that was"kissed by an angel."

2008
The Wine Spectator's Bruce Sanderson called the Foursight 2006 Charles Vineyard Pinot the most interesting Pinot Noir at the CA Wine Experience in New York City! His blog post after the event reads: "Perhaps the most interesting Pinot was that of Foursight Wines. Its Pinot Noir Anderson Valley Charles Vineyard 2006 showed a refreshing lightness in weight along with vibrant cherry, currant and spice flavors. ... The lighter body and delicacy was a nice contrast to many of the more powerful, concentrated Pinots and Cabernets in the room." (October 22, 2008)
Wine Spectator names Foursight one of the most promising new faces in California Pinot Noir, with its debut release of the 91-point 2006 Charles Vineyard Pinot from the family's estate in Anderson Valley (September 30, 2008)

We had a number of great online reviews after this year's Pinot Days tasting at Ft. Mason in San Francisco. Everyone seemed to really respond to the wines. Here is a sampling of those reviews:
