This wine is unique because it was aged in all second-year and older barrels, showcasing mostly pure cherry and berry fruit from our vineyard, with just a touch of vanilla from the oak.
2009 was a cool vintage, with flavors arriving well before physiological ripeness. Because of this, we chose to pick early, crafting three Pinots under 14% alcohol. We fermented them with wild yeast native to our vineyard site, and wild ML strains, with 30% whole clusters in the fermentations.
We love this wine, and are certain you will too.
